Description: Swanage Pier have immense pleasure in announcing a series of five talks about the wildlife, geology, and coastal history around the Purbeck Coast. Standing at the end of the pier you are treated to a fantastic view of part of England's only natural World Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast. As your gaze sweeps from Old Harry Rocks round to Peveril Point you take a travel through time - sixty million years in sixty seconds! Pier volunteer, Nick Reed, will take you on a virtual tour of this unique geology. Lasting approximately 40 minutes and there will be the facility to ask questions. Talks will be done via an online platform, of which details will be sent a week before the event.
