Description: The Nation's Toast to the Heroes of World War 2 will take place on Friday in the Nothe Fort Parade Ground. This will include a short service and parade of standards.
At 3pm on the 8th of May 1945, Churchill made a national radio broadcast. In it, he officially announced the end of WW2 from the Cabinet Office, London.
This unique 75th anniversary national bank holiday weekend will remember the contribution of British, Commonwealth and Allied armed forces personnel. As well as marking the Allies’ victory in 1945, the day will serve as an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served, and continue to serve, in the UK Armed Forces and their families.
