Description: People are often interested to know more about the place they live. There is no doubt that every town, village and house has a fascinating history and sometimes hidden secrets. Sherborne and surrounding localities offer a rich variety to choose from. Many old buildings provide clues to how people lived in the past and are often associated with interesting stories or people. That is what the programme focuses on – we use the main theme to share memories and stimulate discussion. Join local tour guide experts at the first of a series of talk and slide shows. We start discovering Sherborne north of the Abbey, progress to South of the Abbey before concluding in March looking a Sherborne's link to the Jurassic coast. By the end you'll have a better appreciation of the town and be ready to go and explore the parts you find most interesting on a future visit. Family rate will be available. For £5 come and sit in the warm and discover more about this historic and fascinating town. Why not arrive early to visit the award winning Caste Garden Centre and enjoy lunch in the Garden Centre restaurant. Please let us know you saw us on What's On in Dorset!
