Description: Pop-Up Shop and Tickets on sale in the TIC, 8 Bell Street Friday 7th Feb – Sunday 16th 10am – 4pm “Snowdrops in Art” Exhibition at the Shaftesbury Arts Centre Gallery Free Saturday 8th Feb - “The Snowdrop Study, Sale & Social Day” Tickets from the TIC. More to come..... SNOWDROPS: The snowdrops around the town have been planted by volunteers since 2012 as a tribute to HM the Queen – creating a 21st Century community legacy. They are beginning to establish into the carpets for everyone to enjoy in the early part of the year. Pine walk, Swans Yard & Library Garden being good examples. The snowdrops are free to visit and the most accessible ones are in the grounds of the Trinity Trust which is wheelchair/pushchair/dog-friendly walk just off the high street between Farnfields and Barclays Bank. We plant Britain’s common snowdrops which are: Galanthus Nivalis (gala anthus = Milkflower) (Nivalis = of the snow).
