Description: Somerset author, Justin Newland, will be giving a talk about the huge legacy of Ancient Egypt at the Dorchester Library and Learning Centre, South Walks House, Charles Street, Dorchester, DT1 1EE from 11 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. on Saturday 18th January, 2020. The talk will explore why Ancient Egypt is known as ‘The Mother and Father of All Things.’ Justin will also reveal how it inspired him to write his debut novel, The Genes of Isis.
Justin writes supernatural thrillers and secret histories in which real events and historical personages are guided and motivated by numinous forces.
His other novels are: The Old Dragon’s Head and The Coronation.
He gives library talks, does book signings and appears on local radio and in literary festivals. A Doctorate in Mathematics, he lives with his partner in plain sight of the Mendip Hills.
