Description: A very special concert, featuring four Dorset-based musicians, together for a one-night performance of acoustic music from the genres of folk, country, blues, and jazz. ROBBIE MCINTOSH is known as ‘the guitarist’s guitarist’ and has legendary status among his fellow musicians. His career to date has included spells as guitarist for Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Tom Jones, John Mayer, and Norah Jones. Well-known in the area for many years, KEN WATKINS is a lovely singer who performs songs with sensitivity, passion and warmth. His off-beat humour and ability to connect with an audience is locally legendary! SIMON SWARBRICK is an extraordinary fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist as well as a composer and producer. Earlier in the year he performed in the 2019 Feast of Fiddles tour. LUCY WATKINS has sung on albums by Show of Hands and Robbie McIntosh. Her atmospheric bluesy renditions of jazz standards and folk songs, accompanied by some accomplished ukelele playing never fail to captivate the audience. This concert is a rare chance to see all four of these excellent musicians, performing together on one stage. The evening is guaranteed to be a relaxed and joyous combination of warmth, humour, friendship and above all, some extremely fine acoustic music. CDs will be on sale. There will also be a bar with profits going towards hall funds. www.robbiemcintosh.co.uk www.soundcloud.com/watkinswarbrickband TICKETS £14 in advance.
