Description: Walking hockey has been devised and aimed at those who have either not played hockey for a long time or non-hockey players looking for something slower, non-impact and fun but still in a competitive game environment. Walking hockey has the natural effect of producing a level playing field for players of all abilities, genders and ages whilst still allowing them to play a team sport which they may or may not have tried or played previously. This is an England Hockey initiative to get people active and our sessions will be led by one of the club's coaches who has run previous successful walking hockey sessions. The main aim is to get everyone involved, to have fun doing exercise, enjoy a team sport and maybe even return to hockey! Please let us know you saw us on What's On in Dorset!
