Description: Gold Hill Fair was once again a huge success in 2018 owing to the Shaftesbury Rotary Club. Enjoy the fabulous variety of the many stalls, with the High Street and Park Walk a bustling place with crafts, music games and of course Donkey Rides. The Van Pull is held in the High Street and great fun for all- why not enter your team! Profits from the Fair will be donated to many good causes within the local community and some going further afield. Enjoy a full music programme in the idyllic surroundings of the Abbey grounds and country dance in front of the Town Hall. The Celtic Knot was performed in the Rose Garden in 2018 and proved a great success, and there will be more of the same this year. Also joining in the fun of the fair will be the Community Choir and the Arts Centre.Trinity church tower will be once again open for visitors prepared to climb the many steps to get one of the best views of the town and surrounding countryside. The many attractions are well worth a visit. A great day for bringing together the community spirit of Shaftesbury and the many visitors! We were very happy to work together with the “Fringe”. the two events complementing each other well. Between them Shaftesbury is a great place to come to for the weekend.
