'The Legacy' evening with Poacher's Moon
Start Date: 02/11/2018 19:30
End Date: 02/11/2018 22:00
Location: Blandford Corn Exchange
Booking Essential: No
Description: Running alongside the Legacy Exhibition in Blandford Corn Exchange, created to commemorate the end of the First World War, Poacher's Moon are featuring in a great evening of remembrance. This popular band of five will be playing favourite songs from their 'Poppies Red and Cornflowers Blue' show and will be joined for the evening by other talented local performers. These include the winning songs written, composed and played by Blandford's talented young song writers, all aged under eighteen, who were challenged back in July to create a song entitled 'Peace'. Local young duo 'The Promise' will be performing, and as well as readings and poems there will be images projected as a backdrop, with lyrics for the audience to sing along with. The Blandford Evening WI are coming along with their delicious cakes, teas and coffees. This evening will be a good way to take part in commemorating all that our soldiers from Blandford and the surrounding villages gave for our country.
If you would like to reserve a ticket, which cost £5, please ring Caroline on 01258 488640, or email email@example.com. Tickets will also be available on the door. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in on this special evening. There are more details on the website www.poachersmoon.com
