Description: Back by request in 2018- PETE BROWN’S NEWGRASS CUTTERS!
Tivoli favourite Joe Brown’s son, Pete Brown, has created this WONDERFUL band. Banjo, lap steel, mandolin, bass & percussion – Yeeha-hillbilly-blue-grass of all your favourite covers, “Message in a Bottle”, “Born to be Wild”, “(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real”, ‘Ace Of Spades’ ,“Moves Like Jagger” etc. All the musicians are from Joe’s band and you will have seen them here with Joe regularly over the past few years –that’s if you’ve been lucky to get a ticket because they usually sell out!
Pete Brown plays guitar, mandolin, voice, lap steel & the fool. As well as Joe & Sam Brown, Pete’s played with Deep Purple, George Harrison, Dave Gilmour amongst many others. Phil Capaldi, percussion & voice; a truly legendary musician having worked with his brother Jim Capaldi (Traffic,), Dave Edwards, Don Gibson & the Flying Burrito Brothers. Richie Collins, banjo, voice & cucumber cool; he’s a Nashville recording artist & according to Joe Brown, probably the best banjo picker in the world. Mike Nichols, upright double bass & voice and as well as being in Joe’s band he is also Toyah Wilcox’s bass man, catch him in black tie with the Royal Philharmonic too!.
These musicians are some of the best that you will find and we love them at The Tivoli and we are really looking forward to this show.
